Daily hands-on cooking classes
Each day, afternoon hands-on cooking classes are held in the spacious kitchen, taught by outstanding local chefs. Your culinary creations will be shared with our guests from the region.
You’ll dine with business owners, historians, and regional celebrities who will give you the true flavour for this Italian paradise. And you’ll participate in excursions to historic sites that tell the rich story of this ancient land.

The Grotta Di Ferro Estate is nestled in 52 hectares of olive and carob trees. It was built in the mid 19th century on a pre-existing agricultural settlement by Cav Frederico Grimaldi, Baron of Calamenzana.

ITINERARY
Your adventure starts on Oct. 2 with an overnight flight to Rome where we connect with a flight to Catana .
We stay for 6 nights at the Grotta Di Ferro.
Breakfasts, light lunches, dinners accompanied by excellent local wines are included.
Daily excursions include a visit to Modica,( chocolate) Ragusa Ibla, Caltagirone,( ceramics) Donnalucata, and Marina di Ragusa (fishmarket)
Donnafugata, a Ricotta farm as well as a wine estate followed by some wine tasting with Sommelier.
On Oct. 9. we fly from Catania to Rome where we stay
4 nights in an intimate small Hotel, near the Piazza del Republica
We absorb Rome as the Romans do. City tours optional
Oct 13. return flight on AC from Rome to Toronto
